Feature Friday | Miss Tiina

Hello! It’s Friday, and time for another edition of our Feature Friday series here on The Digital Press blog!

This week, we’re excited to feature the incredibly talented Tina Raparanta of Miss Tiina. This is her second feature here on the blog (you can find her first feature article from January 2017 HERE)… and whereas this past year we used our feature series to help you get to know some fun trivia about your favorite designers, now we’re using our designer feature series to give you a little peek into our designers’ creative spaces and more insight into their creative processes.

With that in mind, here’s a peek at Tina’s creative space…

We can’t get over how much Tina’s work space mirrors her design personality! Clean, graphic design… bright colors… highly organized… with little bits of fun sprinkled throughout! 🙂

We mentioned this in our last feature article about Tina, but for those who missed it — our favorite bit of trivia about Tina (which you may have even found yourself wondering, on occasion)… why does her design name of Miss Tiina have 2 “i”s in it? You will be amused to know that it wasn’t a purposeful decision and there really isn’t any deep meaning behind it. Instead, it all dates back to a spelling error that her bank made when she set up her business banking account, years and years ago. So… she just went with it!

As you click through Miss Tiina’s shop at TDP, you’ll find yourself smiling. Her designs are bright and cheerful, clean and simple… and almost exclusively dedicated to getting us all organized! Her shop is the perfect place to stop to set up an amazing organization system for your busy life… and possibly supplement your memory-keeping stash, as well (as she has a few different pocket card and paper sets available, in addition to her signature line of printable planner items).

Here’s a look at just a few of my favorite products by Tina

We’ve also asked Tina to provide us with a Top 5 list that is representative of herself at this point in her life… and she chose to share her “Top 5 Things I Love That My Kids Do”

  1. They do their chores without being told
  2. They go to bed on time
  3. They use their manners almost always
  4. They make handmade birthday, Mother’s Day, etc. cards
  5. They snuggle with me like they are still my babies 🙂

I hope you’ve enjoyed getting to know Tina a little bit better today! If you’ve been looking to get yourself organized and would love a fantastic, simple planner system that you can print at home — I have great news! Starting today, there will be a 30% OFF SALE in her store throughout her entire feature week (the sale will end at 11:59 pm ET on Thursday 6/22), so it’s the perfect time to stock up!

One last thing! Tina also has a very special Free-with-Purchase offer for everyone this week! You can snag this really fun set of printable note pad pages for FREE with any $10+ purchase in her shop — this week only!

Feature Friday | Anita Designs

I love Fridays for so many reasons — one of which is that we get to “meet” and learn more about our amazing designers here at The Digital Press!

Today I am excited to share more information about Anita Designs here on The Digital Press blog! This is not the first time we’ve chatted with Anita here on the blog (you can find her feature from November 2016 HERE)… and whereas last year we used our feature series to help you get to know some fun trivia about your favorite designers — this year, we’re using our designer feature series to give you a little peek into our designers’ creative spaces, and more insight into their creative processes.

With that in mind, here’s a peek at Anita’s creative space…

Anita says that there are a few things you’ll always see in her work space…

  1. Her speakers — because she likes to listen to music while designing or scrapping (her favorites are 70s, 80s, and 90s music).
  2. Her coffee — She says that she can’t live without it!
  3. Her “big furry friend” (the teddy bear, shown above) — which was a birthday gift from a fellow designer; just having him there while she works makes her smile when she looks at him.
  4. Her cookbook — you’ll almost always find that in her work space because she loves to cook, and it provides inspiration for her daily meals.
  5. Her camera — she always keeps her Nikon camera nearby to capture those “perfect photo moments.”

We’ve also asked Anita to provide us with a Top 5 list that is representative of herself at this point in her life… and she chose to share her Top 5 Favorite Places to Travel. She loves to travel, and has traveled all around Europe — including Vienna, Paris, London, Belgium, and different spots near castles in Germany. Her Top 5 list actually comes in two parts — 2 places she has already been and wants to visit again… and 3 “bucket list” places that she hasn’t yet been, but really wants to visit….

Anita’s Top 5 Places to Travel…

  1. Venice, Italy “I’ve been there and fell in love with the place and want to go back soon.”
  2. Scotland“Soooooo beautiful, and not a place I’ve completely explored yet. I can’t wait to go back soon to explore more.”
  3. Africa — *BUCKET LIST* “I would definitely go for the full experience – the wildlife and rivers, and the coast and sea.”
  4. Iceland —  *BUCKET LIST* “I definitely want to visit Iceland because of the volcanoes, but also for the landscapes and scenery, the waterfalls, and of course, to experience the famous Blue Lagoon.  I love spa and wellness trips, so that would be high on my to-do list in Iceland!”
  5. The United States — *BUCKET LIST* “Specifically New York City, and then Hawaii.”

As for Anita’s designs… she creates a wide variety of digital products in her signature clean & simple style, all with an exceptional eye for detail and beautiful pattern work. In her kits, you will find realistic and delicate detail in her textured and patterned papers, as well as stickers, buttons, flowers, ribbons and string, frames, and many other classic elements. Often her kits also include pocket cards… word art phrases in solid, distressed, and “sticker” formats… and wonderful paint splatters, stamps, and other delightful little details.

Here’s just a tiny sampling of some of the products you can find in Anita’s store at The Digital Press

Anita’s products are super versatile and easy to use for all kinds of projects. Here is a sampling of some of my favorite projects that use Anita Designs

I hope you’ve enjoyed getting to know Anita a little bit better!  If you love her products as much as I do, or even if you’re just “meeting” Anita for the first time, I have great news! Starting today, there will be a 30% OFF SALE in her store throughout her entire feature week (the sale will end at 11:59 pm ET on Thursday 6/15), so it’s the perfect time to stock up!

One last thing! She also has a very special Free-with-Purchase offer for everyone this week! You can snag this gorgeous brand-new kit (just released today!) for FREE with any $10+ purchase in her shop — this week only!

Feature Friday | Little Lamm & Co.

Hello! It’s Friday, and time for another edition of our Feature Friday series here on The Digital Press blog! This week, I’m excited to feature the talented Amie Lamm of Little Lamm & Co. This is her second feature article here on the blog (you can find her first feature from June 2016 HERE), and whereas last year we used our feature series to help you get to know some fun trivia about your favorite designers, this year we’ve been using our designer feature series to give you a little peek into our designers’ creative spaces and more insight into their creative processes.

With that in mind, here’s a look at Amie’s fun work space…

About her space, Amie says “I like having a light and white space since it’s in the basement and can be quite dark in the winter. We don’t have an IKEA here, so I have lots of Target cube shelving for storage. Different work spaces for crafting, sewing, and projects are a must. I still need more desk space no matter how much I get. New projects are always in the works. Until I find a setup that works best, I have most of my physical supplies boxed up. It will be like Christmas when my space is complete and I unbox everything.”

Doesn’t her work space look a lot like the products she creates? Couldn’t you see yourself creating wonderful layouts in that space?! Also, I spy a Gilmore Girls Fan! Do you see it? 🙂

We also asked Amie to share a Top 5 list with us that is representative of her at this point in her life. Along those lines, here’s a look at the Top 5 Things Amie Can’t Live Without…

  1. Coffee
  2. Amazon Prime
  3. Day Designer daily planners from Target
  4. Make-ahead meals
  5. Books on her iPad

When it comes to Amie’s products and her design style, I really like her soft colors, her pocket templates, and how full she packs her collections. Check out Lamm Lamm and Co.’s shop at The Digital Press. Here are just a few of my favorite products…

Here are some wonderful layouts I found in the gallery here at TDP that use Little Lamm and Co’s Products. You can see here how versatile her products are…

This coming week as we celebrate her feature week, you will find her entire shop at The Digital Press on sale 30% OFF (sale will run through 11:59pm ET on Thursday 6/8).

Additionally, Amie has a special Free-with-Purchase offer for everyone this week! Don’t miss out on this opportunity to stock up on your favorite products from Little Lamm and Co. while they’re on sale… and you can snag this fantastic collection for FREE with any $10+ purchase in her shop — this week only!

Feature Friday | Jimbo Jambo Designs

It’s Friday, and time for another edition of our Feature Friday series here on The Digital Press blog! This week, I am excited to feature Aga of Jimbo Jambo Designs. This is Aga’s second feature here on the blog (you can find her first feature from October 2016 HERE)… and whereas last year we used our feature series to help you get to know some fun trivia about your favorite designers, this year we’re going to use our designer feature series to give you a little peek into our designers’ creative spaces, and more insight into their creative processes.

When I talked with Aga, I found out that she is a woman after my own heart — and does not have a regular workspace right now because she’s traveling the world! In November of 2016, she sold what she could of her worldly possessions and left her apartment in Spain to go travel throughout Africa and Asia. Her journey has already taken her through South Africa, Thailand, Myanmar, and Cambodia… and last I heard, she was leading to Laos next.

Her “normal” workspace, in her words, is “a bed, my laptop, nice music, and me.” How simple and wonderful! And luckily, that’s a workspace that she has been fortunate to to take with her on her amazing adventure… though, instead of a bed, she seems to have found some cozy little coffee shops and patios to work from, as shown here…

Then we asked her to share a Top 5 list with us that is representative of her at this point in her life… and she definitely had one ready, based on her travels! She shared with me her Top 5 Travel Tips

  1. Don’t be afraid to change your life! Just do what you want to do without fear, even if the rest of the people think you are crazy! The fear is your worst enemy!
  2. Everything can be solved. There is no situation that can not be solved if you think reasonably and stay calm.
  3. Try to look for not touristic places in touristic places. Look for locals or hostels managed by the orphan children. The great thing about them is that they are always more friendly and you can learn so much about their culture from them… and you help them by staying there.
  4. Less is more. Do not take as many things as you can. Big mistake! Everywhere in the world you will be able to buy what you need.
  5. Don’t try to see everything. Take your time to relax and enjoy your travels. Running from one place to another may be good as you will have many photos, but you’re not going to enjoy it as much.

I find such inspiration in what she’s said, and I definitely hope that others do, too. There’s a lot of wisdom there!

Even though she’s been constantly moving around the world, however, Aga has still found time to design her amazing templates. She’s got such a unique style, and says that she finds inspiration in some of the places she’s been visiting. Her template designs are so great and I’ve seen some really wonderful layouts that have been created with them. The shapes, cutouts, and arrangements are truly unique to her — so make sure to check out her shop at TDP, if you haven’t already.  She’s got so many creative templates, it was hard to pick favorites… but here are a few that I love…

Here are just a few of the fantastic pages I was able to find that use templates by Jimbo Jambo Designs…

jimbo-jambo-designs-layouts

Aga is such a humble person and finds so much joy out of creating templates, but even more joy and inspiration when she sees us using them. As we finished talking, she expressed true gratitude to her fans and wanted to send out thanks to everyone who has purchased her products.

And as a side note, if we’ve got any JJD fans in Asia, Aga said that she would LOVE to meet you over coffee, or just to get together and chat. As I fellow traveler, I know that it’s awesome to get recommendations for sights to see, restaurants, etc. from the locals… so if we’ve got a crew in Asia who follows her designs, let’s help her out! She did tell me she’s up for some scrapping sessions with her fans. Kinda makes me want to scoot over to Laos!

This coming week as we celebrate her Feature Week, you will find her entire shop at The Digital Press on sale 30% OFF (sale will run through 11:59pm ET on Thursday 6/1).

Additionally, Jimbo Jambo Designs has a special Free-with-Purchase offer for everyone this week! Don’t miss out on this opportunity to stock up on your favorite products from Jimbo Jambo Designs while they’re on sale… and you can snag her “Even Steven” template set for FREE with any $10+ purchase in her shop — this week only!

ShannonAbout the Author  Shannon has been completely addicted to digiscrapping since she began in early 2016 (though she’s been a scrapper since 2000). Her early morning ritual of a few quiet hours of scrapping while sipping a chai tea is her favorite part of each day. She is also the owner of a web design company, and when she’s not at the computer designing websites or digiscrap layouts, she’s probably hiking one of the local mountains in her hometown of Phoenix, Arizona. She is an avid reader and loves to travel to foreign countries.

Feature Friday | MEG Designs

It’s Friday, and time for another edition of our Feature Friday series here on The Digital Press blog! This week, I’m thrilled to feature the amazing Marie Eve of MEG Designs. This is her second feature article here on the blog (you can find her first feature from November 2016  HERE), and whereas last year we used our feature series to help you get to know some fun trivia about your favorite designers, this year we’ve been using our designer feature series to give you a little peek into our designers’ creative spaces and more insight into their creative processes.

With that in mind… here’s a peek at Marie Eve’s work space, where she creates her lovely designs…

Marie Eve’s workspace features lots of storage for all her little bits and pieces. I love the bowl with all that awesome washi tape and the colorful yarn lights. The drawers allow her to have a space for everything and keep things tidy so she can focus on her designs.

We also asked Marie Eve to share a Top 5 list with us that is representative of herself at this point in her life, and she shared her Top 5 Favorite Activities

  1. Sports — I really love doing sports 2 times a week. It is a real need for me. When you do sports, you don’t think about anything and that’s a pleasure. I practice kick power, which is boxing movements set to the rhythm of fitness music.
  2. Watching TV — I love watching American series like The Walking Dead, Game of Thrones, House, Revenge, Shameless, Bates Motel, The Affair, and much more.
  3. Playing with my kids — I enjoy planning board games with my family; sometimes we play for hours on Sunday afternoons!
  4. Cooking — I love making pastries. I am looking for a lot of recipes on the internet and I love trying them. The last one I tried was a lemon tiramisu with lemon curd; it was a real delight (if you love lemon, of course)!
  5. Genealogy — It became something obvious when my grandfather died 4 years ago. I had this need to look for my roots, to find where I came from. I can spend hours looking for information on the internet (fortunately the Mormons have scanned a lot of records). I also read many articles on the life of our ancestors, how they lived during the 1st and 2nd World War, and also during the French Revolution.

As for her designs, Marie Eve has a wonderful variety of products in her shop at TDP! I love her use of bright colors, her versatile templates, and her awesome pocket scrapbooking items. She truly has something for every scrapper! Here are a few of my favorite products from her shop…

Marie Eve’s products are so versatile that they can be used for all different kinds of layouts and scrapping styles. Here are a few of my favorite projects using her designs…

I loved getting to learn a bit more about Marie Eve of MEG Designs and getting a glimpse of her design space. To celebrate her feature week, her entire shop will be on sale 30% OFF all week long (sale will end at 11:59pm ET on 5/25). She has so many amazing products that it will be hard to choose; go check out her shop and see what catches your eye!

Additionally, she has a special Free-with-Purchase offer for everyone this week! Don’t miss out on this opportunity to stock up on your favorite products from MEG Designs while her shop is on sale 30% OFF… and you can also snag this for FREE with any $10+ purchase in her shop — this week only!

Feature Friday | Calista’s Stuff

Happy Friday! I’m so excited to be here today to introduce you to the newest designer to recently make her permanent home at The Digital Press — Meta Wulandari of Calista’s Stuff! Meta initially joined us as a Guest Designer in April 2017, and we’re so excited to announce that she’s joining our Designer Team and staying at TDP!

This is Meta’s very first feature on the blog, so I’m excited to help you get to know her and her amazing products better… and whereas last year we used our feature series to help you get to know some fun trivia about your favorite designers, this year we’ve been using our designer feature series to give you a little peek into our designers’ creative spaces and more insight into their creative processes.

With that in mind, we asked Meta to show us her creative space. She says that she does her designing “wherever possible” in her house, using her laptop, because she needs to be available to take care of her sweet little baby, Calista (isn’t she precious? see photo, below)! She also said that she always has to have a snack around her laptop… “it’s mandatory!” Here is a photo of her laptop and her beautiful baby girl…

Meta says that her family has a very humble house, but they have each other and really enjoy their life together! Here are photos of her family and of her lovely 6 month old, Calista…

We also asked Meta to share with us a Top 5 list that is representative of herself at this point in her life, and she shared with us her Top 5 List of Things She Wants to Do/Have As Soon As Possible…

  1. She can’t wait to hear her baby call her “ibu” (mother)
  2. She can’t wait to have a vacation with her family
  3. She’d like a new laptop
  4. She’d also like to get a super speedy internet connection (she lives in a small town and it’s hard to get a full bar of internet signal)
  5. She wants all of her family members to be healthy, happy and continuing to support one another

As for Meta’s products and design style… you will find lots of color and unique elements! She also creates such beautiful  and breathtaking blended elements that give you that special pop to your pages; they are simply stunning! She has fantastic templates in her store, as well… products for almost any occasion! Her designs always contain amazing flowers and wonderful word art options. Furthermore, I love that the items in her store are perfect for scrapbook pages AND pocket pages! There are so many versatile and useful options to be found.

You’ll definitely want to take a look at the Calista’s Stuff shop and see for yourself how fantastic her products are, but here are a few of my personal favorites…

And here are some examples of the beautiful projects that have been made using Meta’s products from The Digital Press…

Aren’t those fun?

I hope you have enjoyed getting to know a little bit about Meta Wulandari of Calista’s Stuff today! To celebrate her upcoming week as our Featured Designer at The Digital Press, the entire Calista’s Stuff shop will be 30% OFF throughout the entire week (the sale will end at 11:59 EST on Thursday 5/18).

Additionally, Meta has a special Free-with-Purchase offer for everyone this coming week! Don’t miss out on this opportunity to stock up on your favorite products from Calista’s Stuff at the 30% OFF rate …and you can also snag her brand-new (just hit the store shelves today!) Tutti Frutti Kit for FREE with any $10+ purchase in her shop — this week only!
